Ours began more than a decade ago. The first Alliance was established in 2008.
Thriving Careers on Unique Paths
Alliance Global Advisors was launched by co-founders Heather Fernstrom and Jennifer Stevens in 2020.
Jen launched her career with The Townsend Group in 2004. After completing a dual master’s degree in Finance & Real Estate Construction Management in 2008, Heather joined the company as well. The two worked as colleagues from 2008 to 2012, each servicing a different group of Townsend’s institutional client base while strengthening their friendship.
Heather went on to gain valuable experience on the General Partner side, working on strategic development goals for Hunt and National Real Estate Advisors while also leading capital raising efforts. Meanwhile, Jen progressed to Partnership at Townsend. She assumed various leadership roles running Townsend’s west coast office, joining Townsend’s investment committee and serving as lead Portfolio Manager for Townsend’s largest relationships while developing the area of expertise in Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives.
Shared Values and Goals
Heather and Jen bonded over common values: not only a shared passion for their work, but also family, friendship, education and philanthropy. Their values are deeply rooted in a shared sense of gratitude for where their paths have led – which would not be possible without the mentorship they’ve received throughout their careers.
In 2020, Heather and Jen partnered once again as Co-Founders of Alliance Global Advisors.
Empowering the Institutional Investment Community to Elevate Best Practices
The Alliance mission is to pay forward what Heather and Jen received during the development of their own careers. They now align with General Partners and offer customized guidance on how to improve organizations, plan for succession, compete for capital, add diversity to existing capital base, develop products and enhance branding in order to meet the evolving needs of the institutional investor.
Additionally, they've launched Alliance Gives Back, an initiative that allows any professional to reach out and start a conversation - whether in need of guidance, a sounding board, or some unbiased thoughts, Jen and Heather are committed to continued mentorship and advocacy within the industry.
